486 Antique English Regency Rosewood Fitted Tea Poy Circa 1820

A Superb Example of an English Regency Period Tea Poy. First quarter of the Nineteenth Century, Regency period. 

The rectangular hinged lockable lid with corner canted angles, enclosing four lidded compartments, above an exquisitely hand carved foliate and leaf capped column with shaped platform base ending on carved claw feet.  

Condition: Superb condition with no losses to inlays, interior foil linings are quite worn. Baise underneath has wonderful age-wear, very nice untouched surface patination. Lock is present and working, key supplied does not turn mechanism.
